6×6 Rubik’s Cube

The 6×6 rubik’s cube is a twisting puzzle with eight vertices, 48 edges and 96 centers. It has 157 decillion possible permutations, which makes it an addictive and challenging puzzle!

It is also prone to pop ups and that can be frustrating for some solvers. Luckily there are some new innovations in the design of bigger cubes that have reduced these problems.

Speed

Unlike the normal 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube, this cube has no fixed centres. That means that every face can be rotated to rearrange the small cubes on it.

The puzzle is made from smaller cubes, 6 to an edge, that are then coloured. The corners of the puzzle show three colours, the edges show two colours and the centres have only one colour.

This is a higher-order variation of the original Rubik’s cube, invented by Panagiotis Verdes. It was first mass produced by V-Cube, but has since been manufactured by many different companies.
